Originally based at the M.A.D.C.A.P. Theatre in Wolverton M.K.where a community arts based collective ethos prevailed through out the nineties,(SADLY NO MORE).Tribal Vibrations was set up under the umbrella of the Madcap music Project(MAD MUSIC) in 1997 to succeed the excellent and highly successful DUB U LIKE Promotions. Conceived by the enigmatic GORDON GLASS. Dub U Like was the first real attempt in bringing ethnic diversity to the music scene around the Milton Keynes area by hosting a regular monthly live session from 1994 to 97, regulars will remember the likes of the Rev dub warriors, Doctors of dub & many others.At the same period in time we were also operating a more digitaly based dance promotion going out as Deckadance using outfits such as optic eye & black starliner. DUB U LIKE & Deckadance themselves were a follow up to the experimental apheilion dance n trance nights .Put together by Ged Kelly n Paulee Paul Capel,these where a limited set of experimental dance nights in the early nineties trying to capture that undergrond festival dance experience.
Drawing on the experiences from these earlier ventures and our experience setting up and running our own stage for several years at the M.K. GLOBAL FESTIVAL ,a two day outdoor event attracting about five thousand people every year. TRIBAL VIBRATIONS set out to promote varieties of music that reflect both the modern dance culture and ethnic roots music from diverse cultural backgrounds.We promote contemporary forms of dub reggae, ska, celti, european roots, dance, african, eastern and even funky ethnic psycadelia(if we can find any). No longer based at the MADCAP THEATRE due to a change in ethos on behalf of the then board members, we set out to bring our experierce to you at a variety venues around the south east.

Much praise must be heaped on the many who have helped along the way, Ged Kelly (Shakin the arts up Manchester way), PAULEE PAUL CAPEL(Groovin the Gower and skankin in the smoke) ,GORDON GLASS, CHRIS TRUE(Where r U), Dave Pendlebury, Tim Smith, Purple Ann, Ray Weston ,Jenny Zoom, Dave Gattis, Lorna Grant, Dave n Loz Jackson, Kez n Tim, Alex Shades, James Bowyer, Paul n Sam, Dave Rob n Jan, Emma ,Jay, Adam, Caz, Richard n Elsbeth, Michelle, Kathryn & everyone else who gave up their time to help the cause.

And to all the artists and bands who graced the tribal vibrations stages over the past 10 years ie: Tarantism, HoraceX, Blunderherd, Mukka, Dub Factory, Azadi Collective, Space Bee, Silverspace, Spicy Goat, Emperor Sly, Living roots and many many more you know who you are a big Thank you and hope we can accomodate all of you again over the next 10 years.
